Spending time at Flores de Vida can be a great adventure, but can disrupt your normal habits somewhat. Arriving at Flores de Vida is an invitation to a simpler life, closer to nature: a place to find yourself.

We enjoy simple food and simple comforts. This is in part due to the project being in its early stages, with living systems and equipment being set up gradually over time. However, living simply is also a conscious choice. You will not find any tables and chairs here. At Flores de Vida we live closer to the earth.

If you would like to come stay, participate, and lend a hand, you are more than welcome. Accommodation and food are free.

If you have never stayed with us at Flores de Vida before, we invite you to participate in a 2-week discovery session.
You will have to opportunity to participate in yoga, singing, dancing and various activities. Our manual activities are not meant to be "technical training" as such, and there will not always be a lot to learn. It depends on the time of year, the work in progress, who is here, and the technical level required for the specific activity.

There are days where we have a lot to do, and others where we have less. It also depends on the weather and the energy of the group. We do not make strict schedules, or count hours, we like guests to get involved independently, as they feel, in keeping with the spirit of the place.

We have various ongoing main projects, as well as the normal day-to-day tasks, such as filling the water filter, emptying the toilets or cleaning the living spaces. We expect members of the group to contribute to these tasks, without necessarily being asked to do so.

During the summer months (July and August), the weather is very hot. We begin activities early in the morning, in order to take advantage of the cool part of the day. We start work at 7am until around 11.30am, with breaks and fruit during the morning.

In winter, the day is more continuous. We take a break, from around 10am to 4pm, to enjoy the sun during the warmer part of the day.

Work clothing, rubber boots and gloves can be provided, but if there are a lot of people staying there may not be enough for everyone. Therefore if you have these items, and are able to bring them, we recommend doing so.
Please bring a sleeping bag and a towel, as these are not provided.
Feel free to bring your passions, your enthusiasm and your smile.
